Avenged Sevenfold To Skip The Grammy Awards To Protest How The Rock/Metal Categories Are Treated

Avenged Sevenfold’s “The Stage” is nominated for Best Rock Song at the 2018 Grammy Awards, but the band won’t be attending the ceremony. They are choosing to skip the event in protest of how the rock/metal categories are treated. M. Shadows confirmed the news while answering questions on the group’s Twitter. This year’s Grammy Awards will be held on January 28 in New York City, NY.
