Counterparts Premiere New Song “No Servant Of Mine”

Counterparts have premiered a new song titled “No Servant Of Mine,” via Metal Injection. This song is from the band’s new album “You’re Not You Anymore,” which will be released on September 29.

Brendan Murphy commented:

“‘No Servant‘ is about relationships failing whether they be romantic, platonic or business oriented. One way or another, the connection between two or more people is gone and we have to carry on knowing that it may be for the better. The song is my way of saying “If you no longer care, then go. You don’t need to stay because you owe me nothing.”

In other news, Murphy will be missing the Bonner Springs, KS and Dallas, TX dates of the Vans Warped Tour, leaving members of Knocked Loose, Movements and Being As An Ocean to fill in. Murphy said the following about that:

“After our set today I’m flying home for a family emergency so for the KS and Dallas dates of Warped our friends will be stepping in to sing shout out to Knocked Loose, Movements, Being As an Ocean for helping us out through a rough time. Love you guys. It’ll be just like karaoke but exclusively Counterparts songs… kind of a bummer but w/ec it’ll be fun.”
