According to TMZ, an autopsy showed that Nick Menza (ex-Megadeth) did die of a massive heart attack, as various outlets reported. The drummer’s body contained traces of heart disease, and drugs were not a factor. Menza passed away at the age of 51 on May 21, while onstage with OHM.
UPDATE: An investigation conducted by the Los Angeles Coroner/Medical Examiner has since been released, and it says that hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease is the official cause of death. R.I.P.
