Previous reports and promos stated that Black Sabbath would be playing their farewell show at Ozzfest Japan, but now it seems like this may not be the case. The band have posted a new statement, on Facebook, that says Ozzy Osbourne (and friends) will be the actual headliners.
Here’s the full statement:
“Despite previous reports, Black Sabbath will not appear on this year’s Ozzfest Japan, the show will instead feature the festival’s namesake, Ozzy Osbourne (and friends).”
This news is really surprising considering Ozzfest Japan has been promoting this performance and the fact Ozzy Osbourne even confirmed the news and said he wanted Bill Ward to be a part of it. Fans will just have to wait and see how everything plays out.
