In a new promo for this year’s Ozzfest Japan, Sharon Osbourne revealed that Black Sabbath’s headlining spot on November 22, in Makuhari Messe, will the band’s “farewell.” Ozzy Osbourne has since confirmed the news and said after its over, he’ll continue on with his solo band.
Ozzy said the following:
“[It will be] our last hurrah. Then it’s no more Sabbath at all. We’re disbanding the name and everything. … They [Iommi and Butler] don’t want to tour anymore. I get it. But I love it. I’m gonna continue my solo thing.”
He went on to say that he hopes Bill Ward will rejoin the band for this performance.
Ozzy also said, in a previous interview, that Black Sabbath would record a final album and head out on a final tour, so there may be more Sabbath to look forward to, before this final show.
