Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Medusa Touch

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Medusa Touch.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

MEDUSA TOUCH: Hello Metal Anarchy, we are Medusa Touch. We are a 4 piece Rock Band from the Glory Days of 80’s Heavy Metal. We formed on 1982 in Edinburgh, Scotland and we played till 1990. We have just got back together in 2019 and have completed a small tour of Scotland and have released our first album in August this year. (We took our time hehehe).

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

MEDUSA TOUCH: It’s all the great bands from that time. Iron Maiden, UFO, MSG, Scorpions, Metallica, Accept, Anthrax, Y&T, Motörhead. You get the picture.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

MEDUSA TOUCH: The new album is called Terror Eyes. It’s a collection of 13 songs from our time together in the 1980’s. It was recorded in 2012, so sounds great. Its available for downloading and streaming on all the usual sites, Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Deezer, etc. You can also get a CD if you’re old skool from our website online store (medusatouchofficial.com).

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

MEDUSA TOUCH: A great fun night out. Great fist pumping, sing-along headbangers. There isn’t a lot of bands coming through doing the 80’s thing at the moment, so get a long.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

MEDUSA TOUCH: Hopfully, still playing and gigging and progressing. We still have an albums worth of material from back in the 80’s to record and then we can start on some new material. All looking good.
