Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel will be missing the band’s immediate live shows after testing positive for COVID-19. The band revealed the news during their February 5 show in Portland, ME, which found them preforming with August Burns Red‘s Dustin Davidson and JB Brubaker as fill-ins. Fan-filmed footage from that set can be found below:
Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel has exited the band’s current European tour “due to a family emergency.” During his absence, the band’s production/stage manager Josh Mihlek “will be filling in for a few songs.” [via Blabbermouth]
