Outer Gloom (Shai Hulud, etc.) have released a new EP titled “Higher Vessel.” The effort features three songs including “Initiate Rite,“ “Predator Caste,” and the title track. The band commented:

“‘Higher Vessel‘ is the natural progression of the band from our first, self-titled release. The songs are a bit less subtle. These songs were written with the intention of hitting hard. They’re heavier and more aggressive. Thematically, ‘Higher Vessel‘ envelops the inescapable consumption of and reliance on living things – for one to live, the other must die; the unavoidable, necessary violence within us all. Violence the only constant, death the only promise.”
