On October 24, Turnstile played a free benefit show at the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. The concert was attended by 60,000 people and helped contribute to Human Concern International’s fundraiser for Palestine, Sudan, and Lebanon. Over $240,000 has been raised for that campaign so far.
Frontman Brendan Yates told fans the following:
“We’re so grateful to have been raised by this scene, one that taught us that music not only reflects the artist making it but the people and the world and the suffering and the joy that surrounds it.”
He also added:
“Loud enough for the White House to hear it: Free Palestine! Free Sudan! Free Lebanon!”
