Tomorrow’s (September 26) CBGB Fest at Under The K Bridge Park in Brooklyn has been cancelled due to weather. That event was supposed to feature: Morrissey, Patti Smith, Interpol, Sex Pistols (feat. Frank Carter), Bikini Kill, Mannequin Pussy, Circle Jerks, The Return Of Jackie And Judy, Buzzcocks, Agnostic Front, Militarie Gun, High Vis, Bad Nerves, Haywire, Panic Shack, Upchuck, and Violet Grohl.
Organizers initially said the following:
“We’re watching this weekend’s forecast closely as we get ready for CBGB Fest.
Our team is in close coordination with local agencies as we monitor conditions. Any decisions regarding this weekend’s festival will be made with the safety of our fans, artists, crew, vendors, partners, and staff at the forefront.
As of now, we’re continuing to prepare for the festival as scheduled. We know there are questions about the weather, and we’ll share any important updates as soon as we have them. Keep an eye on @cbgbfest on Instagram for the latest information.
If you’re joining us Saturday, plan ahead and come prepared for the conditions with weather-appropriate clothing and footwear.
Thanks for your patience, your energy, and for being part of CBGB Fest.”
They later confirmed the cancellation:
“After consultation with local officials, we have made the difficult decision to cancel The Prodigy on September 25th and CBGB Festival on September 26th due to forecasted severe weather and high wind conditions in the New York Metropolitan area throughout the weekend.
The safety of our fans, the artists, and local crews is our top priority.
Thank you to the fans and all those involved who have supported the shows.
Refunds are available now at your original point of purchase. Ticketholders who purchased through AXS will be automatically refunded.”
