Amorphis bassist Olli-Pekka Laine will be missing the band’s remaining 2026 shows. During his absence, Pyry Hanski (…And Oceans, etc.) will be filling in.

Laine commented:
“Due to personal reasons, I will be stepping aside from touring duties for the remainder of the year. The low end remains in the best possible hands, however. Our great friend and phenomenal bassist Pyry Hanski (@pyrde) will step in to handle bass duties for the upcoming dates. Please give him a warm welcome and make sure to catch the shows!
I will rejoin the ranks early next year. Thank you all for your continuous support and understanding.
– Oppu”
Hanski added:
“It’s a true honor to help out and jump in for the upcoming shows. Huge thanks to Oppu and the guys for trusting me with this. Needless to say, I’m beyond excited and can’t wait to see you all on the road!
– Pyry”
