Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper” Featured In Series Finale Of “Stranger Things”

Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper” was featured in the series finale of “Stranger Things.” The track was played during an epic valedictorian speech that saw Dustin Henderson paying tribute to his late friend Eddie Munson. You can see footage of that below. Munson, the Hellfire Club leader who famously shredded Metallica’s “Mater Of Puppets” in the Upside Down, was honored as Henderson unveiled a new “Hellfire Lives” shirt during a speech about going against conformity. He then followed that up by flipping off Principal Higgins and snatching his diploma. The scene was especially significant considering this iconic quote from Munson:

“I’m gonna walk that stage next month, I’m gonna look Principal Higgins dead in the eye, I’m gonna flip him the bird, I’m gonna snatch that diploma, and I’m gonna run like hell outta here.”
