My Ruin have premiered a new video for their new song “The Audacity.” That track is from their new album, “Declaration Of Resistance,” which will be released on January 16. The following was said about the single in a press release:
“A visceral, full-circle reclamation of power, ‘The Audacity‘ confronts entrenched ageism, sexism, and the double standards still weaponized against women in music, politics and culture. Evoking decades of lived experience, with a testament to surviving in an industry that worships youth, punishes maturity, and fears women who speak with conviction. A tribute to every woman who’s fought through the swords of misogyny designed to diminish her with a love letter to resilience and a celebration of getting older, louder, wiser—and impossible to diminish. More than a continuation, it’s an evolution. With time comes wisdom, but rage has no age.”
