Young musicians from the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music (aka the SCM All-Stars) have released a Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute EP. The effort is titled “Our Loving Tribute To Red Hot Chili Peppers” and it features covers of “Subway To Venus,“ “Sick Love,“ “Hump de Bump,” and “Soul To Squeeze.“ Red Hot Chili Peppers vocalist Anthony Kiedis said the following about the EP:
“I can’t think of anyone I’d rather be tributized by. Student musicians are the best. Let’s all take a listen to how they interpret these tunes. Thank you Flea and good work Merck.”
Bassist Flea added:
“The kids! I’m so grateful that our music can be a vehicle for their spirits to fly. This is what music is for. I am so proud of them.”
