Metallica’s Lars Ulrich Says The Band Would Be Open To Performing At The Super Bowl

During a recent appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” Metallica’s Lars Ulrich was asked if the band would be open to performing during the Super Bowl next year since it will be located near their home base in San Francisco, CA. Ulrich says he would love to perform at the event, which will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA on February 8:

“Fuck yeah — of course we would. First of all, we would do it. Second of all, to do it in San Francisco would be a dream come true and would be the right fit. We haven’t been approached. … Certainly as somebody who’s represented San Francisco all over the world and shouted for decades about San Francisco and our love for the Bay Area, that part of it is the right fit. Ultimately it’s not our decision.”
