It looks like Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine’s “Poisoned Ascendancy” tour will be coming to an end following the completion of a European/UK leg and a soon to be finished North American leg. The trek was previously set to continue throughout the year with shows planned in Australia, South America, etc. However, it appears Bullet For My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck no longer wants to do it. Trivium bassist Paolo Gregoletto commented during a recent livestream:
“Matt Tuck didn’t want to do it, after we had planned it, after stuff was already in the works — don’t know why. I think it would have been amazing. I think “The Poison” is a great album. I think the two records pair very well together. And I think it would have been nice to give everyone around the world a chance to see the two together. But we are going to do North America on our own with other bands. And we will have a lot of special surprises, just because we will [now] have more time to do stuff, so, that’s what it is.”
