SPEED Are Working On A New EP And A New Album

During a recent interview with Brooklyn Vegan, SPEED vocalist Jem Siow offered an update on the band’s plans for new music. According to him, the group have a new EP and a new album in the works.

Siow said the following:

“We’re gonna go back straight into the studio after we touch down after this week. We’re recording some stuff. We’re always kinda working on music. LP2 is on the horizon; There’s gonna be an EP in-between. But that’s the thing I’m actually most excited for at the moment.”

He continued:

“I’m most excited… for the music that we’re writing at the moment.”

He also added:

“I think that we’ve achieved… I mean I know this sounds generic, we’ve achieved so much more than we ever expected. And I think that’s one thing that SPEED can always vouch for. We’re not the best musicians — by far. We’re not the best songwriters. We’re not the most original artists by any stretch, and we don’t claim to be; We never ever really set out to be and we still aren’t.

However, one thing that we can always vouch for is the passion and the energy, and our personality. We’re just what you see is what you get… And now we’ve got a debut LP under our belts and a couple other records, we’re just trying to see if we can unlock a little bit more identity in our sound.”
