Piggy D. Announces New “Clown Car Mechanic”-Themed Faith No More And GWAR Tribute Band

Piggy D. (Marilyn Manson, etc.) has announced a new “clown car mechanic”-themed tribute to Faith No More and GWAR. The band are called FNG (Faith No GWAR) and they will be opening for Verona On Venus (ex-DevilDriver, etc.) at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA on June 25.

Piggy D. commented:

“Many years ago I wrote a satirical/musical short that I wanted to produce about a working class garage band that uses this specific music to vent their daily frustrations about slugging it out in modern society. This show will be the raw live performance of that fictional band. It’s quite far from being an actual tribute or cover band. Instead, I call it a “musical repurposing”. In today’s climate, it’s a renewed excuse to rock out and have a laugh at how ridiculous and bizarre life is.

Our gig is also during “June Gloom”, which is a really good time for cupcakes and birthday hats. You should come. This is the most insane art project I’ve ever attempted and we will debut it at a special one-night-only event at the Whisky.”

The following was also added about the project:

“FNG is a chaotic fusion of grease, rage, and absurdity, a band of disgruntled clown car mechanics who channel their working-class frustrations through blistering covers and twisted reinterpretations of Faith No More and GWAR anthems. Clad in oil-stained overalls and smeared clown paint, they transform shop-floor grievances into cathartic, theatrical performances, welding satire and aggression into every riff.

Their sound is a manic collision of metal, punk, and unhinged circus energy—an explosive middle finger to the soul-crushing grind of modern labor. When the engine won’t start, the boss won’t pay, and the world feels like a rigged joke, FNG turns it into a war cry.”
