On February 28, Mastodon appeared at the Metropolitan Opera House to discuss how Herman Melville’s “Moby-Dick” influenced their 2004 album “Leviathan.“ That event also featured composer Jake Heggie, who scored a 2010 opera based on “Moby-Dick.” Two other composers, Tamar-kali, and David T.
