Foreword have signed a new deal with Seek And Strike. With this news, the band have also shared a new video for their new song “Sandman.” That track will appear on the band’s upcoming album, which is set to be released on January 31.

Our new single, ‘Sandman,’ is a very personal song for our vocalist, Andy Alderson, and it was written during a time when he was going through an incredibly low point in his life. During this period sleep was the only escape and the lyrics reflect that sense of wanting to find peace, even if it was to never wake up again. Through the effort of each member, we were able to turn this rough patch into something creative and get our bandmate back.
The song was actually the last one we wrote for the upcoming album and it really represents everything we wanted to put into our music. It’s a song that speaks to the darkest corners of the mind, but also to the longing for something better.
The video for ‘Sandman‘ is meant to complement the song’s themes of loss and the passage of time. We wanted to visually represent how something grand, something important, can slowly fade away as time takes its toll—like sand and dirt overtaking everything in its path.
Ultimately, this song is about raw honesty, and we’re grateful to have the opportunity to share it with our fans. It wasn’t written with the intention of being a statement, but rather as a way to cope, to create something real from a difficult time. If people connect with it, we’re truly thankful.”
