As previously reported, Jake E. Lee (Red Dragon Cartel, ex-Ozzy Osbourne, etc.) is currently recovering after being shot several times in Las Vegas, NV. Fortunately, the guitarist has since confirmed that he is “doing surprisingly well.”

D.J. Ashba (Sixx:A.M., etc.) shared the following text exchange that he recently had with Lee:

Ashba: “Please tell me you’re okay??”

Lee: “Doing surprisingly well. I am one lucky mother fucker. Just make sure your bday bash is wheelchair accessible! Just jestin’”

Ashba: “So fn thankful you’re ok! Naha! U got it bro!”

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Lee was in his driveway preparing to take his dog for a walk when he was shot in the forearm, back, and foot. The incident happened around 2:40 a.m. and resulted in a broken rib. No vital organs were damaged. A neighbor, who heard the shots, called
911 after hiding his kids and grabbing a gun.

The Las Vegas Police Department commented:

“Officers responded to a shooting incident in the 11000 block of Alora Street. Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male was transported to the hospital. No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.”

This latest news comes after Ozzy Osbourne wished his former bandmate well, describing the incident as “another senseless act of gun violence.”
