Halestorm are among the artists who contributed to Brooks & Dunn’s “REBOOT 2” album. That effort will be released on November 15 and it will feature 18 reimagined songs from the country duo’s catalog. Other contributors include: Jelly Roll, HARDY, Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, and more.

Ronnie Dunn said the following:

“The premise of the project was ‘No rules.’ For this one , we purposely loosened the screws and turned ‘em loose to do whatever they wanted. We actually went way off the rails, in a good way.”

Kix Brooks added:

“This project is a lot more out of bounds. Artists are going, ‘Would it be okay if we did this?’ It was like ‘Yeah! Let’s do it.’ We dealt with rock bands and blues bands and all kinds of genres, all over the place.”

Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale also commented on contributing to the project:

“Months ago we received an email we were never expecting to receive. @brooksanddunn asking us to create a reimagined version of their legendary song ‘Boot Scootin’ Boogie.’

This, a request too wild to even consider passing on, more than wet our appetite for adventure. We asked if there were any rules for this particular project…and when they replied with a resounding ‘NO RULES APPLY’” the boys and I knew this was gonna get weird.
