Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation has received this year’s “For The Love Of Labor” grant from Carhartt. The money will benefit the “Metallica Scholars” program.

All Within My Hands issued the following statement:

“The For the Love of Labor grant may sound familiar, as Carhartt awarded $250K to AWMH in March as part of its International Women’s Day campaign. This Labor Day, the workwear brand is reaffirming its support for our foundation by once again naming All Within My Hands Carhartt’s For the Love of Labor grant recipients!

The first $250K in purchases on Carhartt.com and in retail stores this Labor Day – Monday, September 2 – will help fund our Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI), dedicated to providing the training and tools students need to take their futures into their own hands through trade education programs at community colleges across the United States.

Last month, we announced year six of MSI, which marked our largest expansion and grant to date. With $2.6M invested into the program this year, we were able to add 18 new schools to our roster. With a total of $10M granted since launching, Metallica Scholars programs are now present in ALL 50 United States and Guam.

We cannot thank Carhartt enough for continuing to be a steadfast and enthusiastic partner to All Within My Hands. It is a privilege to have found a brand as committed as we are to investing in the workforce of tomorrow.”

Drummer Lars Ulrich also commented:
