Welcome to the secret life of the crash test dummy.
Auditory Trauma, the Nothing Isolation Sessions, recorded live at Philadelphia’s own Underground Arts on October 16th 2020. Originally released as the record release live stream for The Great Dismal (@relapserecords), this recording is now being released as a one time 12” vinyl pressing. Featuring material performed live from throughout the bands discography, this vinyl release is packaged with photography from the event designed and printed on a full color fold over cover, inserted into a custom printed PVC sleeve.
“What a nightmare it was to try and maintain a space in music during covid, especially releasing an album in the midst. Felt important to do even tho I’ve never felt more obsolete or any bleaker when it came to doing this shit. Everything just felt hyper trivial and ultra pointless. I felt like we could try and give people something special during that time, and on the heels of losing Riley and Wade, I really just needed to create something before I lost my mind. Really dumped a lot of myself into the release of The Great Dismal and that performance was an extension. When I heard the live recordings post live stream, even tho it’s something I never would want to do (releasing live Nothing music), it felt like a time capsule to a really urgent part of what was inside of me… in state of mania. I kind of just fell in love with the crisis so I said fuck it, let’s release it”
