Sol Invicto And Deftones Members Donate To Crowdfunding Campaign For Fan Who Lost His Home To A Fire

Sol Invicto‘s Richie Londres has launched a GoFundMe campaign in an effort to assist Christopher Scott, a Sol Invicto and Deftones fan who recently lost his house to a fire. Londres and his Sol Invicto bandmate Stephen Carpenter (also of Deftones) have both contributed.

Londres said the following:

“We were just about to post some merchandise to a loyal fan and family man Christopher Scott when he informed us his home in Calais, Maine had burned to the ground only last night.

He was in town with his wife, his son was at home at the time and thankfully managed to get out quickly after hearing the smoke alarms and alert the authorities which stopped the spread to other properties.

Sadly they still ended up losing all their possessions and heartbreakingly 2 cats who ran and hid and were unable to be saved in time.

The property is a rental so no insurance will be due to them and unfortunately no contents insurance but lets be honest, how often do insurance companies help us in times like this, they always find a way out.

In light of this, we wanted to see if we can raise a small amount for them to help them out during this time and buy a few family essentials for their next home, we have dropped in a few hundred to kick things off and if you can spare these guys a few dollars it would be a lovely gesture.

Money will go towards things like rental deposit, food, replacing essential items and ensuring they are not struggling at this time.”

He also added:

“I was gutted to hear about Christopher’s news, they never asked for help I just wanted to use our platform for good, losing animals, precious possessions and memories is awful for anyone to experience.”

Carpenter commented as well:

“I’d be devastated if I came home to that, especially being a cat owner myself, I hope this goes someway to helping them.”
