While undergoing brain tumor surgery at the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, a guitarist named Christian Nolen performed songs from System Of A Down and Deftones. According to Guitar.com, the man was encouraged to keep himself occupied during the operation so doctors could “examine and protect his manual dexterity.” WSVN shared the below video report on Nolen’s case:
