Hope Deferred (ex-Embodyment, etc.) have officially recruited The Showdown’s David Bunton as their new vocalist. With this news, the band have also confirmed that they are working on new music.
The group commented:
“Hope Deferred is excited to welcome a new member to the crew. David Bunton is joining the team as the new vocalist. We’re sure many of you are familiar with that name, as David is well known as the singer for Tennessee metal maniacs The Showdown.
David served as the frontman for Elizabethton, Tennessee-based The Showdown between 1999 to 2011. They released four albums during that time on labels Solid State Records and Mono Vs Stereo. He rejoined the band to play a reunion show at Furnace Fest 2022 to audience acclaim.
We’re looking forward to everyone hearing new Hope Deferred material with David adding his unique talents to round out the sound. He’s been busy the past couple of months rehearsing and tracking demos for their upcoming album.”
