Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With The Bind

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with The Bind.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

THE BIND: The Bind is a three-piece rock band from Taunton, Massachusetts. We have played together in working bands since out of high school. Using many gigs and years of experience, we hone improvised material into hard driving songs!

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

THE BIND: Take some Stooges, the Police, Pink Floyd, sprinkle some grunge eclecticism and throw it in a blender until smooth peaks form.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

THE BIND: We just released “Swells” a bouncing upbeat song to make you feel. Check it out to feel something, anything!

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

THE BIND: We try to tune our live shows to be a driving and high energy shows, with a minimal amount of awkward banter. Loud guitars, driving drums, bass that rumbles and thumps. All fronted by two guys that act like they know what they are doing!! Seriously though, we have fun.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

THE BIND: In five years I can see myself playing our “hometown” outdoor shed venue…… was called Great Woods. I still do, regardless of who owns it.

Thanks all!

We’re The Bind!
