Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Echoseven

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Allon McCall and Justin Larracey of Echoseven.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

JUSTIN: we are a female fronted metal/rock/grunge band from Moncton New Brunswick Canada.

ALLON: We are a 5 piece female fronted Alt Metal band from New Brunswick Canada. We’ve been a band for 3 years now. Been signed to Curtain Call /Sony for 2 of the 3. And we have new EP out on all platforms entitled “X-Ray In Use”

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

ALLON: Honestly anything that’s good lol. My influences are all over the place.

JUSTIN: For me I’d have to say Killswitch Engage and Lamb of God.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

JUSTIN: Our latest release is the song “Blame”. It has to do with dealing with people who put things on you and not take ownership for their own doing. Why people should check us out is if you’re dealing with any kind of problems with things like that would relate to our music

ALLON: I’ll echo some of what Justin has said- we try to write songs that are relatable and personal. Our latest release is entitled “Blame” off our EP.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

JUSTIN: That we always put on a great show we don’t have any gimmicks. We are who we are.

ALLON: Just a solid heartfelt performance. And when I say heartfelt I’m not taking over dramatic acting- just us being musicians who have written songs that we enjoy and want to share with others.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years

JUSTIN: Hopefully doing festivals and tours would be great.

ALLON: Wow 5 years- the dream is to be at a point where we are all making a living off this.
