Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Anthems Of Gomorrah.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
ANTHEMS OF GOMORRAH: We are a Black/Death Metal band from Central Florida USA.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
ANTHEMS OF GOMORRAH: Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved, Hate Eternal, Morbid Angel, old school Death Metal and tons of others.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
ANTHEMS OF GOMORRAH: Our latest release is called ‘Aelvica II’ and it was released on August 15. It is our most dynamic and diverse work to this date. We put a lot of time and effort into this recording, we made sure we were passionate about each track and satisfied with our results before locking in each one. It’s a conceptual album based on a Dark Fantasy concept that I have created and am writing. I encourage new listeners to give it a listen, I think they will be pleasantly surprised on what we create; the description of ‘Black/Death’ with a melodic tinge doesn’t quite do the music justice.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
ANTHEMS OF GOMORRAH: When we are able to perform in a live setting, I would expect an energetic show from us. Our songs are fun and heavy, our lyrics and vocals are easily understood and capable of following along with. There’s a lot of potential for us as a performing band.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
ANTHEMS OF GOMORRAH: We would like to see more of our material released to a wider audience, releases on physical format not just digital and maybe some tours under our belt. Anthems of Gomorrah has a lot of potential; we jut need the opportunity to prove ourselves.
