Six Feet Under’s Chris Barnes On The Current State Of Death Metal: “I Despise What This Genre Has Become”

It looks like Chris Barnes (Six Feet Under, ex-Cannibal Corpse) isn’t a fan of the current death metal scene. The frontman tweeted the following about the genre after watching Knofest’s recent “Death Metal Round Table” with George “Corpsegrinder’ Fisher (Cannibal Corpse), Trevor Strnad (The Black Dahlia Murder), Chase Mason (Gatecreeper), and Alex Jones (Undeath):

Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta has since invited Barnes to discuss his thoughts on “The Jasta Show,” but he refused:
