Former Misfits Singer Michale Graves Could Be A Witness In Upcoming Proud Boys Capitol Insurrection Trial

According to Reuters, ex-Misfits singer Michael Emanuel, aka Michale Graves, may serve as a defense witness in an upcoming trial for four leaders of the Proud Boys, the far-right, neo-fascist, white nationalist organization that was involved in the treasonous pro-Trump insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Emanuel, who is a member of the extremist group, claims that another member of the Proud Boys had asked him to perform at a private concert during the same time as the riot on January 6. That show never happened, but lawyers representing one of the defendants, Ethan “Rufio” Nordean, argued in a court filing that if the group were planning to “topple the government,” they wouldn’t have scheduled a concert for the same day. For his part, Emanuel said that he doesn’t think the Proud Boys were capable of planning an insurrection. He also added that him and his manager “ghosted” the other members of the group and got out of Washington D.C. as chaos erupted.
