The guitar Kurt Cobain used during Nirvana’s legendary “MTV Unplugged” performance was recently sold during a “Music Icons” auction from Julien’s Auctions. According to Rolling Stone, the instrument received seven bids and ultimately sold for $6,010,00. In addition to the guitar, the winner also got the original hard-shell case, which Cobain decorated with a flyer for Poison Idea’s “Feel the Darkness,” a half-used pack of Martin guitar strings, three picks, and a suede “stash” bag that was decorated with a miniature spoon, fork, and knife.
