Ozzy Osbourne Says His Parkinson’s Disease Was Actually First Diagnosed In 2003

Ozzy Osbourne previously said that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in February 2019 while he was being treated for injuries he sustained in a fall. However, during a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, the frontman revealed that he was actually first diagnosed in 2003.

Osbourne said the following about his battle with Parkinson’s disease:

“I’m not dying from Parkinson’s. I’ve been working with it most of my life. I’ve cheated death so many times. If tomorrow you read ‘Ozzy Osbourne never woke up this morning,’ you wouldn’t go, ‘Oh, my God!’ You’d go, ‘Well, it finally caught up with him.’”

The singer also revealed that the medication he is taking for tremors can cause short-term memory loss. He continued:

“It’s been a pretty incredible, interesting career. People have written me off time and time again, but I kept coming back and I’m going to come back from this.”

Osbourne also added the following about returning to the stage:

“When? I don’t know. I don’t want to go back out there until I’m ready.”
