Kvelertak Confirm New Drummer, Share First Studio Video For New Album “Splid”

Kvelertak have officially welcomed Håvard Takle Ohr to the band as their new drummer. He will be taking over for Kjetil Gjermundrød, who recently exited the band. With this news, the band have also shared the first studio video for their new album “Splid.” That effort will be released on February 14 and it will be their first to feature Ohr and new fronmtan Ivar Nikolaisen.

The group commented:

“Hey everyone!

We’ve put our own footage from the Splid recording session together in iMovie for you all to enjoy.

Thanks for all the nice feedback on our new song! We really appreciate it and can’t wait for you to hear the whole album. We promise it’s going to be worth the wait.

Some of you might have noticed we have a new drummer for this album. Kjetil wanted to step down and focus on other things in life. We’ll miss him on stage but we won’t be strangers.

Send Kjetil your greetings and give our new drummer Håvard Takle Ohr a warm welcome!

We’re extremely excited about hitting the road with this new album and we’ll have more tour and festival announcements coming! For now we hope to see all our European friends on the upcoming release tour.

Take care and speak soon!

-Bjarte, Vidar, Maciek, Marvin, Ivar og Håvard”
