We Are The End Accuse Rings Of Saturn’s Lucas Mann Of Stealing Riffs

We Are The End have accused Lucas Mann of plagiarism, saying he used the band’s riffs for Rings Of Saturn’s new song “The Husk.“ Mann and former Rings Of Saturn guitarist Miles Dimitri Baker were both involved with We Are The End for a short time in 2014 and the band’s guitarist Brandyn Love claims to have showed Mann a number riffs he was working on. It seems We Are The End never officially released songs with the riffs in question, but there are some pre-production demos that have been shared for comparison in the below YouTube video:

We Are The End commented:

“Everyone please be sure to congratulate Lucas Mann on his new song “THE HUSK” that he stole from us & put on the new Rings of Saturn album.
Lucas you’re a bitch!!!

But it brings us joy to be such an influence.

The song you stole is light years ahead of what we taught you back in 2014 when you & Miles Dimitri Baker were apart of our project. We’re not even mad just disappointed that a musician of your caliber would be so desperate & ruin our gold with your turd video game noise.”

The group have also said a number of other things on social media and have even shared a message Baker sent them regarding “The Husk.” It’s worth noting that Baker previously mentioned that he was not getting proper credit for songs he wrote before him and Aaron Stechauner exited Rings Of Saturn back in May 2018.

“The Husk” will appear on Rings Of Saturn‘s new album “Gidim“ (out October 25).
