Last month, Marilyn Manson said he was heading to Shooter Jennings‘ studio to “finish [his] new album,” but now it appears the effort is not quite done yet. During a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation LA Invasion: Live From The Rainbow Bar & Grill”, the singer was asked about the album and he said it is “more than half” completed and that it is “a bit of a mixture” between David Bowie’s “Diamond Dogs” and Killing Joke. He also added the following about working with Jennings:
“I felt like it was a good time for a change. And I became friends with Shooter. And he’s a musical genius. Shooter, he kind of reminds me of The Dude from ‘The Big Lebowski’… But we have this different vibe where I don’t have to really tell him what I’m thinking. I didn’t know this, but he was a fan of what I did growing up, also underneath his father, Waylon Jennings. So he adds a completely different element.”
