Martin Persner On His Departure From Ghost: “Something Horrible Happened”

During an interview with Spain’s GoetiaMedia.com, Martin Persner (Magna Carta Cartel) was asked about his departure from Ghost. He responded by saying “something horrible happened” and he didn’t want to talk about it.

Persner said the following:

“I don’t wanna talk about that. I’m sorry. I understand — of course, everyone wonders — but, to me, basically, it’s a group of five or six very, very good friends, and something horrible happened. And to me, it feels like talking about the divorce of your wife — it’s so horrible — so I’d rather not talk about anything about that in terms of how we feel about each other and stuff, because it’s too personal.”

It is unknown what he is talking about, but it’s worth noting that other former members of the group filed a lawsuit against mastermind Tobias Forge due to them not receiving proper payment for their musical contributions and tours. Persner was not part of the lawsuit, but it’s possible that he could be referring to similar issues.
