Mike Shinoda Plays First Solo Shows Since Chester Bennington’s Death

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda played his first solo shows since the tragic death of Chester Bennington over the weekend. Both performances took place in Los Angeles, CA, with one being held at the KROQ Weenie Roast and one being held at the Identity LA festival. He played some solo tracks from his new solo album “Post Traumatic” (out June 15) and mixed in some Linkin Park songs including: a demo version of “In the End,” a “Good Goodbye” and “Bleed It Out” medley, part of “Papercut” mixed with his solo track “Over Again,” and a “Waiting for the End” instrumental backing Fort Minor’s “Where’d You Go.” It is worth noting that his Linkin Park bandmate Joe Hahn joined him for “Castle Of Glass” and that Taka (One OK Rock) joined him on the “Waiting for the End / Where’d You Go” mash-up at Identity LA.
