Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Aux Era

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with experimental rock band Aux Era.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

AUX ERA: Collectively, we are influenced by Mars Volta, Radiohead, Fugazi, Bjork, King Crimson, Mogwai, GSYBE. But we all have separate diverse influences that all filters into our sound as well.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

AUX ERA: Our latest release is our self-titled debut album. If you’re into cathartic, dynamic, and expansive psychedelic post rock you would do well to give it a spin.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

AUX ERA: We put a lot of work into performing our material live. We’ve all been playing and touring for years and we think that experience shines during our live set. Nothing excites us more than filling a dark room with wild sonic textures!

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

AUX ERA: 5 years is a long time! It took us about two years to write and record this record so hopefully we can get a couple more albums out in that time!

If you’re interested in getting Aux Era’s self-titled album, head over to Bandcamp.
