An unidentified woman, who is said to be a “longtime on-air personality for a local rock station,” has filed suit against Gene Simmons (KISS), due to sexual battery, gender violence, battery, gender discrimination, etc. The suit was filed in the Superior Court of California on December 15, following “unwanted, unwarranted sexual advances” toward the victim during a November 1 interview with Simmons and Paul Stanley at the Rock & Brews restaurant.

The woman says Simmons took her hand and “forcefully placed it on his knee and held it on his knee.” She also says that he “forcibly flicked/struck” her throat, “reached toward [her] buttocks and touched it” while posing for a promotional photo, and tried turning questions into “sexual innuendos.”

The woman’s lawyer Willie W. Williams told The San Bernardino Sun the following:

“My client is embarrassed and humiliated by the incident with Mr. Simmons. She filed suit because she wanted to make a strong statement that this behavior is unacceptable and she wants to see an end to this type of behavior.”

Simmons has since denied the allegations:

“Friends,

I intend to defend myself against any alleged charges you may have been reading about in the media.

For the record, I did not assault the person making these accusations in the manner alleged in the complaint or harm her in any way.

I am conferring with my lawyers with the aim of vigorously countering these allegations.

And I look forward to my day in court where the evidence will prove my innocence.”
