It is widley documented that Indonesian president Joko Widodo is a metalhead, and knowing this Denmark’s Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen decided to surprise him with a deluxe box set version of Metallica‘s “Master Of Puppets” signed by Lars Ulrich. Rasmussen tweeted a photo of him giving the gift, which you can see below.
UPDATE: According to Coconuts Jakarta, Widodo might have to give up the box set, because it “technically constitutes a form of gratification that must legally be reported to the country’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).” This law was put in place to prevent bribes. A spokesperson says an official report for the gift will be filed with KPK within the 30-day review period.
