Papa Emeritus Is Reportedly Being Sued By Former Ghost Members

According to Corren.se, four former members of Ghost have filed a lawsuit against frontman Papa Emertius, reportedly Tobias Forge, due to them not receiving proper payment for their musical contributions and tours. The ex-members claim that Forge controlled all the band’s profits through his company, and that he would only sporadically pay them while saying there was no money. Now they want him to release the band’s financial records from 2011-2016, which if he refuses would result in a 200,000 SEK ($22,000) fine. The lawsuit goes on to say that Forge’s team is denying that Ghost was a partnership, and that the ex-members refused to sign new contracts in 2016, due to them essentially being “slave contracts.” This news comes after the band previously moved on with a new lineup.
