It was previously revealed that Avenged Sevenfold were getting sued by Warner Bros. for trying to get out of their contract by using the “seven-year rule” under California Labor Code, which “allows parties to leave personal service contracts under certain circumstances after seven years have passed.” The band originally owed the label another album, but after severing ties they ended up signing with Capitol under their own imprint to surprise release their new album “The Stage” on October 28. Now, according to TMZ, the band is trying to stop Warner Bros. from selling their greatest hits album “Best Of 2003-2015,” which the label released today (December 2). The band says they didn’t know about the effort beforehand, and that it violates their contract.
