As previously reported, writer Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse) and artist Guiu Vilanova (Twilight Zone,etc.) teamed up to create a three part comic series based on Slayer’s “Repentless” videos. Now, it has been revealed that the first volume will be released on January 25, via Dark Horse Comics. Prorders can be found HERE. You can see the cover, which was designed by Glenn Fabry, below. A variant cover from Eric Powell is also being readied as well. Schnepp said of the following:
“It’s been my honor to chronicle the bloody road trip that is the Slayer comic series from Dark Horse/Nuclear Blast. Using the band’s music and lyrics from their three decades of albums, while crossing over and through the Repentless music videos by BJ McDonnell, I have woven a tale of betrayal, hate, perspective, loyalty, family, and murder that will need to be experienced through the comic books’ pages.”
