Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi On The Possibility Of Playing One-Off Festivals After The Final Tour: “I Wouldn’t Write That Off”

Chris Jericho (Fozzy) recently chatted with Tony Iommi on the “Talk Is Jericho Podcast” and asked the guitar legend if Black Sabbath would be willing to do one-off festival dates after they play their final show on February 4 in Birmingham. He responded by saying he “wouldn’t write that off, if one day that came about,” and that “even doing an an album” is possible since “you’re in one place.” He did add that he is not sure “if that would happen” though. Iommi also talked about the physical toll touring takes, considering his battle with lymphoma. “Shows here and there are fine, it’s just the constant,” he said, adding that his illness is “what brought about — the end of this, really, because the constant touring does eventually get to you.” So there you have it. Hopefully we will see more Sabbath in some way, shape, or form following the farewell tour.
