AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams recently told Gulfshorelife.com that he plans to retire after the band’s current tour. His decision comes after the band previously lost three members, including Malcolm Young, who is suffering from dementia, Phil Rudd, who has had some issues with the law, and Brian Johnson, who stepped down to protect his hearing. Williams said the following:
“It’s been what I’ve known for the past 40 years, but after this tour I’m backing off of touring and recording. Losing Malcolm, the thing with Phil and now with Brian, it’s a changed animal. I feel in my gut it’s the right thing.”
