Saxon will be joined by Motörhead’s Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell for a special Lemmy Kilmister tribute at the 2016 Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards show. The event will take place at the Eventim Apollo in London, England on June 13, and the set will be composed of Motörhead songs, and Kilmister’s favorite Saxon tracks.
Saxon’s Biff Byford said the following:
“Lemmy was a great friend and he always supported our band – as we did Motörhead – through ups and downs. We were touring with them when he died, so to be able to honour him at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods is a great opportunity to say goodbye.”
