Multiple sites have been reporting that Rammstein has filed a €66,000 (roughly $75,000 USD) lawsuit against the German government, due to the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons indexing their 2009 album “Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da,” because of the song “Ich Tu Dir Weh” and the effort’s cover art. The album was indexed for six months, and this caused the sales and advertising to be restricted. It also made it so they couldn’t showcase the song or cover art in public space. The band is seeking to recover money from lost sales, after being forced to recall 85,000 copies. The band are expected to appear in court this summer.
