Deftones vocalist, Chino Moreno talked to CBS about being in Paris during the November 13 terrorist attacks. All members of the band are okay, and you can read Moreno’s comments below.

Here’s what he had to say:
“Yeah, we’re safe, we weren’t scheduled to play at the Bataclan until tomorrow night. A couple of band members, they went to the concert, but they left early—after the first few songs they ended up leaving the venue. They got out of there and all of our band and crew are safe and accounted for at the hotel now. So, we are just here, we’re pretty much on lockdown. They told everybody pretty much to stay indoors and don’t go out, because they’re still—everything is still unfolding as we speak.”
The terrorist attacks occurred in six locations throughout Paris, France on Friday, November 13. According to CNN, at least 129 people were killed overall, with at least 80 being slaughtered at the Bataclan music hall, where Eagles Of Death Metal were playing. The band stopped playing as soon as they heard gunfire, and headed to the exit. Terrorists then begun taking hostages, and killed them one by one. All the band members made it out alive, including Matt McJunkins, who was one of the hostages. ISIS has taken responsibility for the attack, and French president Francois Hollande said the country “will lead the fight and will be ruthless.”
